Collaboration with the CBCB

Since 2015 – 16, artist Derek Hill has been involved in research with scientists at Newcastle University’s Centre for Bacterial Cell Biology (CBCB) on the development of a body of artwork for public engagement. The project combines his studio practice with his experience of interacting with the microbial world’s hidden kingdoms to draw a fresh perspective of ourselves.
