**Autumn: A Shift in Time**

The floor paintings began during the Flaw series in the mid-nineties and continue to this day. This format involves constructing frameworks that support a mix of liquid preparations and other techniques applied to the canvas surface. These preparations create tension as they dry in reaction to the consistency and temperature of the mixture. This process balances chance and control while also considering the choice of materials. The positioning of the work allows for freedom of movement around the canvas during painting.

Traditional and unconventional methods and resources are explored, allowing the interaction to evolve freely and naturally. Some paintings may be partially altered or fully transformed and then positioned upright at various angles to enable the layers to stretch, shift, and gain additional dimension. This process involves chance and control that leads to the emergence of the unexpected.

Each painting plays an integral part in the collection while retaining independence and identity. They respond uniquely to the attention given to them, making it worthwhile to nurture their individuality as character studies, landscapes, or whatever world they belong in. The work builds a world around its source, making it universally inclusive for people to tap into and engage their hidden resources, thus establishing a stronger foundation for awareness and understanding for everyone’s benefit.
