Google Profiles: Autumn 2025, give artist Derek Hill a platform to showcase his work and practice in greater detail. Hill is an RCA-trained artist based in the northeast of England. His pioneering contributions to the arts in the region have received critical acclaim. Hill’s artwork has been exhibited both locally and internationally. As the new Google Profiles indicate, there are three main strands to Hill’s practice: his painting studio is located in Sunderland, and a studio in Newcastle upon Tyne is dedicated to drawing and printmaking. Viewings at both studios are by appointment only. There is a film, video and media profile, as well as one for Hill’s projects and collaborations that began when he graduated from the RCA in 1982.
