“Into the Sun” is an adventure story told through a series of drawings about a camel and its rider who wander a vast desert in search of peace and tranquillity. Set in a fictional world where imagination and reality coexist, the story continually shifts between fantasy and fact. The narrative unfolds as a visual diary, following the two characters as they cross between parallel worlds and realities—thinking, reflecting, daydreaming, and wondering which reality we truly inhabit.
It asks who we are, what we see, and how our perception shapes our understanding of the world around us.
In a way, it is a self‑portrait in which imagery reinvents and interweaves reality, imagination, and actual places and people. It speaks of journeys to distant lands and of those who have shaped my life and memory—sometimes jaded, sometimes vivid.
The sequence of drawings explores life’s experiences and the act of drawing itself, as well as the experience of inhabiting other worlds around us and within us—worlds we perceive, remember, and imagine. It is an intimate experience to share with the world.
The story continues in Chapter 2
