Painting is a personal dialogue. When I start a painting, I have no assumptions and little idea of where it will lead. Each body of work evolves into an extension of its identity and characteristics, contributing to a larger collective.
The painting develops through the exploration of identity and character, driven by a need for recognition; that painting cannot be viewed merely as a by-product or a commodity.
